Is System Restoring to a previous point sufficient? Or should I be going through the extreme processes here?

I don't use IE as my main browser, but it is nice to have it on hand for those people that aren't inclined to write web code that is actually compliant. And, it makes my life much easier when dealing with my school's network software, so I'd like to have it back.

I got infected over the weekend, and restored to a System Checkpoint prior to that point. Will that do the job? And is there a way to delete the System Restore points post-infection so as I don't accidentally restore to them?

It seems that System Restore has worked, though I don't use IE that much really, and only briefly checked it.

Sometimes restore points can become infected as well. I would still do a scan and check to be safe.

Read this, and post a log for us to look at :)
