Now just sit back and relax and tell us all about it.
Come on, specs and details. Has it always done htis? New machine? New game? Any changes?
Something is overheating, CPU, GPU, PSU or such.

Does anything specific happen before it shuts down? Like a loud noise, screen changes, ect ect?

It has not always dones this. I have a AMD XP 2900 with 512 megs of ram, Genforce FX 5200 video ard, and an ABIT KV7 series motherboard. I can play a game for a few hours and then it will shut down and beep about 6 or 7 times. I have been doing some overclocking with the video card as well. Could I have messed it up in the process?

what power supply? what game are you playing?

oc'ing the video card may be the problem. drop it back down to stock and see if it fixes the problem.
