Win98SE after boot nothing accessible. Ginh
Hey all this i've got another problem with my Windows 98 SE, and this time it's another variant. This is what happened.
I was surfing the Internet with my IE, it was a link that redirected me to an other site this site i got redirected to was a naughty site(one which i can't remember yet) so it started to load some crap on my computer so something was busy either connecting or dropping things on my drive i couldn't do anything, after this when i pressed "Ctrl+alt+del" is saw a bunch of names called popups there was many, then i think it continued making these, eventually my system mentioned there wasn't enough resources so it got jammed, then i rebooted my system and i believe things were altered as it was saying in dos that changes are loaded to the registry i believe. So after this part of the reboot i was able to get in windows, ones it was all done loading i couldnt do anything, my mouse and keyboard did work.
- Mouse: was able to move but not able to click on start or anywhere for that matter on desktop
- Keyboard: it works couldn't only make this menu popup with "ctrl+alt+del"
Then it said a few times ( after couple boots ) that Explorer was not reacting
so then i got this blue screen that asked if i wanted to reboot or leave it to see if resources free or something so i could return to windows.. so i booted again. and the same thing happend over and over.
Now i have done a test using my bootdisk, viewing my harddisk C: drive and the rest of the partitions, at this point i felt misserable thinking everything is destroyed, but i used commands to view a couple of folders on my C drive and partitions and all the files seem to be there, i just don't know if that's also when i would be in windows again.
So now i cannot do anything because i lack the knowledge how to handle this
Im sure i cannot do anything when im in windows, so it makes alot of sense that something needs to be done in MS-DOS or something, using either a CD or disk i do not know.
But please, could you guys give me any suggestion or solution if it may sound familiar, sorry i can't give more specific details because it went all to fast, also sorry if this is posted in wrong forum.
I'm desperated but learned a great deal this time, and will make sure i have stuff to make me some good backups and use of protection, gotten sick of it.

Which Antivirus software do you use?
Hello prof,
Emergency Disk i do not have, meaning i don't have a real antivirus program. just spyware removal programs, Htj, adaware, search & destroy..so i think this is not an option right?
So i think the only way is boot from CD :s
So, ones i find my Win98SE CD and boot windows from there, what would be the next step ?
PS, what i mentioned in the post above, does that mean my files are all gone ?
I did check in ms-dos and they were there, or could it still be shown in ms-dos but when you are actually back in windos they are gone ? o.O
I would like to understand what was going on.
