I'm not having a great day today.. :p

After fixing a boot sector on my computer, the LAN Connection is completely gone from Network Connections. The Internet light on my Speedstream 5100 ADSL modem will not light up, and I cannot connect to anything on the internet. Nothing comes up in ipconfig. Nothing but 1392 shows up in Device Manager. Whats the problem here?

Also - this is an on-board network adapter.

    have you tried reinstalling it?

Yes I tried that, and still nothing.

UPDATE: Oh my gee golly.. This is unreal. By default, (had to reset CMOS for another problem), BIOS has the on-board LAN DISABLED!!!! That's so stupid I think... Well I fixed it now by enabling it :p:)

Thanks for your help anyways, maximus.
