Why do I keep freezing/com crash..?

When I play Muonline,I freeze as in the monsters stop moving and after a period of seconds they will be like "fast forward" it happens like every 5-10 seconds..I can't play the game in peace..it crashes occasionally and sometimes it automatically quits my game and return to desktop..I was thinking of reformatting the com..so what you guys recommend or do you have a solution to it?

    Run memtest

    Edit: If you get any errors your rams bad and needs to be replaced.

    can you run online or something?I downloaded the Download - Memtest86 v3.1a ISO image (zip) ...then i extract it to a folder i don't know how to use it..

    The files you downloaded are used to make a bootable floppy. Boot from it and the test runs automatically. :)

    please tell me step by step T.T i downloaded and when i open it brings me to winrar page..i need to extract it so after i extracted there will be a BOOTfolder containing Boot(security catalog)-I can't open this,it says "the file is invalid for use as the following:Security catalog,it also contains MEMTEST.IMG which I need a program to open is I chose IE but when i click nothing loads up

    Extract the files to the same folder, then double-click the install.bat file. The rest is easy. :thumbsup:

    I extract the 4 files install.bat/memtest.bin/rawrite.exe and readme.txt to the desktop and i clicked on install on the desktop and it comes out a page saying "Enter target diskette drive: " what should i put?

    The letter of your floppy drive, such as A:\

    Make sure there is a blank floppy in the drive and off you go.

    so i input A: and it asked me to insert a formatted diskette into A: and press Enter..after i inserted the diskette and pressed enter..the page disappeared and nothing happens
    Anyway sometimes when i play games it will auto exit the game and go to desktop..sometimes when i'm idling in game it will also crash(hang)..

    This program tests your computer memory, which could be the source of the problem. If you get through three or more passes of the test with no errors we'll look for another possible solution.

    If you do get errors it means the RAM is bad. If that is the case and you have more than one stick of RAM you'll need to test them individually. The bad one(s) will need to be replaced.

    I inserted a diskette and it ask me to format but it was unable to format eventually T.T

    The freeze isn't so often at times..sometimes it occurs every 15-30 seconds too..does any programs slow down your RAM or something
    going to play game soon..

    when i play another server of mu,in the main channel selection page..it was like lagging..running low on fps and I checked on memtest thrice 3 passes without any errors..I suppose is frequency lag which I call it as freeze..
