Using S-video

I just got a DVD player added to my system and it has S-video. So I thought that connecting the S-video from PC to DVD it would send it to the TV but I guess that doesnt work??

I have a TV VCR combo and only have the video input connected to the receiver, and the DVD connected to the receiver.

But I am not getting and picture of my PC on the TV. Does it need to be a direct connect since that TV/VCR combo is a bit oldish?

    Unless you have a home DVD burner, the S-video connection on the unit (like everything else) is an output only.
