Hi Becky, I do not see any running processes that are terribly out of the ordinary, none of those should chew up huge amounts of resources. Did this happen all of a sudden or did it gradually get worse over time?

From the looks of your log, you have McAfee anti-virus, as well as a Symantec (norton) product. Could you let me know which one you frequently use? or are they both in use? These applications can be resource heavy, and I would not recommend running both simultaneously if you have a slower PC.

The remainder of the HJT log looks pretty normal with the exception of this item:

I would also suggest Running the Disk Defragmenter found on XP. It can be found in Accessories->System Tools. It will take awhile to run but it may help with a slower performing machine.
