This file keeps cropping up on my computer and I don't know what it is. It's on all my computers. It just shows up in random places. There's no getting rid of it. I've even seen it on mIRC. Anyone know what it is?

when you view pictures in WinXP as "thumbnails" the OS creates a thumbnail db - that file. There's one in every directory.

If you don't want to see it, turn off "show hidden files" in your view settings. you can't get rid of it - it's part of the OS.

well you can go ahead and delete it, I do it all the time, but unless you set your view to something other than thumbnail view its just going to re-create the file

You may disable this option. Just open the Folder options in Explorer and enable the "No cache for thumbnails" option.

Cool. This file has been showing up on my systems since about the time I visited this website.

I always thought it had something to do with that, but it was just coincidence.
