Hey guys,

I have 2 pcs. I have one DSL connection, but two modems. What is the simplest, and least expensive way to get them both online? Should I get a router? Where do I even start?

You only can use 1 modem, most service will only send you 1 static IP for the modem, you will need a switch or a wireless router or a router to connect your 2 comps. if you have 2 modems they will fight for who gets the IP address....and q1 will work and the other wont work.

Right. By mode, do you mean DSL modem, or Network interface cards, because the NIC looks a lot like a dialup modem. Sledgehammer is right about the DSL modem you only need one, hook it up to a router and hook the router up to your computers. But if your modem is REALLY a dialup modem you need to look for a network card. Some computers have them onboard but some dont so you'll have to buy them. i hope that clears things up a little.
