Dr Watson freezes my computer

edited September 2005 in Science & Tech
Hello, thank you, and sorry to bother.
I'm new here, and even more, i'm french, please forgive my poor english.

I don't know what to do with this:
When i update my ipod with itunes 5, Itunes shuts down, and then Dr Watson Debugger has to shut down too.
I tried everything that previous users problems had, but nothing worked (defragmentation, erasing Temp, and web scans...)

Can you help me please?

Thank you very much,

Berto
I'm using Windows XP on a Vaio
Itunes 5, ipod updated
What else??

Any specific errors besides Dr.watson showing up? Are you logged in as admin (xp pro)? Make sure that older versions of the itunes and qtime are uninstalled, run the microsoft cleanup utility to remove extra crap if need be. If all else fails, then Uninstall/Reinstall itunes but make sure not to delete your files.

    BTW, wrong forum.

Coool Thank you very much for poping in.
No specific errors. Itunes works well, untill i plug my ipod in.
I will run the Microsoft Cleanup, and come back to you.

Thank so much for making me feel a bit less alone!

By The Way...the forum you posted in is security related. You issue is more of a "General Software" forum related problem. :)

That's funny as that was supposed to be a feature of this release. Try setting your default EMAIL prog (using program access and defaults) to something other than outlook...i.e.thunderbird, to see if the itunes software looks for the alternative. If not, perform the uninstall/reinstall. This is a known problem among other boards within the ipod community with this version of itunes.
