I've just dumped a 486SX25 'system' :D - had a nice soundblaster ISA card in it though :D

I must admit that I am still working with a K6-266 and a M2-300 system for those who really want to spend NO money. 64MB or double that, 2GB HDD, FDD and a CDROM drive of some kind, some sound card, and an ISA 10Mbit NIC, somewhere between 50 and 70 quid, prolly 70..100 USD at a guess (??) but that's what people want.

My inlaws are using a P120 with 48MB EDO, and although everything takes a week to do, they have been happy with it for the 3 years they've had it. They're gonna be upgraded to a Duron1300 all-in-one motherboard based rig, mainly as I have to maintain it and it just takes too long and won't run XP, but for some things old stuff is fine.

No good for folding though :D

In all honesty, I couldnt charge more than about 100 quid for anything that's a 'normal' desktop or minitower with second hand bits clocked below a G - spend another 50 quid and you've got brand new hardware, I'd feel guilty charging that much for stuff that's years old and could die anytime...

    Customers hey :D
