Google's one-of-a-kind computer network gives it a chance to surpass Microsoft to become the most dominant company in tech, according to the author of a recently published book on the search giant.
"Google is this era's transformational computing platform and could be about to unseat Microsoft from its throne," Arnold writes in a summary of his book, "The Google Legacy: How Google's Internet Search is Transforming Application Software," published this month.

    Probably an interesting book, but I think the term "legacy" is a bit much for a company in its infancy

    It's too bad that information in book form can be outdated so quickly... I think Microsoft is more likely to squash Google, considering if their deal with TW/AOL goes through, Google will lose something like 25% of its revenues.

    :blink: ... anyone else remember back in the good old days like 1995 style before we even had google? christ im 18 and this makes me feel old.
