Messed up Monitor!

Ok idk what to do, we had a power outage yesterday and i think it messed up my moniter because now it automatically shuts off like every 5 minutes and then i cant get it to turn back on for like another 5 minutes. it completely sux. so i was just wondering if anyone knew if there was anything i should do, besides buying a new moniter (dont have the money)?

    Have you tried a different monitor? Have you tried the monitor in question on another computer?

    Even if it means lugging all your stuff over to a friend's house, this would be the best way to quickly isolate the problem. For all you know right now, your monitor may be fine and you may have a fried video card.

    Yea actually i thought about doing that. and putting the moniter on my old comp. but i ripped the hard-drive apart on that comp because i was bored and its only a 6.5 gb from like 1993 lol. so that wouldnt work. but o well maybe ill try taking it to a freinds. :thumbsup:
