Via Strong Box padlocks your notebook

CHIP FIRM Via said it has introduced a software application which it claims will deliver "bullet proof" protection against identity theft and physical loss of data.
And it's putting its money where its claim is by offering a $5,000 cash prize to anyone at the Hack in the Box security conference in Malaysia this week that can break the Strong Box open.

Via Strongbox lets you store 40GB of personal documents, photos and files in 10 virtual drives, but when you turn the virtual key, the software app encrypts all of the contents in real time.

That, said Via, means the files protected are completely unreadable and inaccessible to unauthorised users.

There's more information about Strong Box at the Via site, here.
