Socket 603/Socket 604

Hi there

Greetings from South Africa - one question and I hope someone will be able to assist me. I cannot get hold of any socket 604 cpu heatsinks/fans with retention brackets however I have found Socket 603.

Will the socket 603 fit on a socket 604 board with cpu in place? The cpu is a SL6VP (3.06ghz Xeon with 512k cache) and the motherboard is a SE7501BR2 (intel).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    If you can find them on ebay in the US I will ship them to you if you cover shipping.

    I have a couple s604 boards (nocona xeons) and if I were you I would stick with HSF's designed for your exact CPU's. The thermal characteristics varied wildly on these xeons.
