Bluetooth Mouse Trouble

I've got a M$ Bluetooth Mouse/Keyboard combo and it works great and I haven't had any trouble with it on my old KT7-R computer... I just installed the combo on my new comp (running a barton on an nforce2 motherboard) and my mouse keeps going out after a half an hour or so and needs to be reinstalled.

I have a friend with the same problem with his bluetooth mouse (same model) on his nforce2 board as well... are there any fixes you guys know of?

    Maybe interference or "noise"?

Does your new rig have its case open?

Is there a cordless phone or anything around that might interfere?

does it have a usb reciever? maybe there is a new driver for usb on your mobo mfrs website. Maybe there is a fix from M$ website

I dont know much about bluetooth and what spectrum it uses. So I probably wont be a whole lot of help.

the case is not open, there is no cordless or cell phone nearby. I've been using the keyboard and mouse with my other computer for several weeks without any incident, but switching over to the nforce2 board I'm getting the same problem as my friend (his is ASUS, mine is MSI)

it seems to be stable now... I went into wireless link yesterday and redetected it and it's working fine...

my friend isn't quite so lucky... his is detecting as an 'unknown device' or not detecting at all.

I wouldn't think it'd be an IRQ conflict, and I do have my mx700 plugged in just in case. I don't necessarily use the wireless to the full extent that I should, but this mouse and keyboard are very comfortable to use. As great as the mx700 is, it's nowhere near as comfortable to use as my m$ mice.

I plugged the mx700 in BECAUSE the M$ mouse stopped working, not before. they're both plugged in now and working fine. My friend is still having trouble getting his to redetect without reinstalling the drivers, but mine works fine :p
