A slimmer case for my computer?
Okay I think I'm gonna go all out on building desktop computer, but I'm wondering if there possibility to get a really slim case for my new computer.
Something like this http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/xpsdt_200?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs
Does newegg sells slim cases like this?

I'm guess I'm looking for those old cases (not a tower) that would laydown, and just put it on its side, so that the harddrives and other decides (cd-rom) would be going up and down thus making it slimmer
at least i think they're made by cooler master
Do they have a website I can't find it off of google?

sorry I had just thumbed through the article and saw this thread. Cooling must really be crappy on this one.
I'm guessing a motherboard meant for a tower won't work for a base will it?
Ya, so to sum up, thats exactly the size I want, but a tower instead of a base.

It needs a little modding, and probably a laptop HD to properly fit in there, but it definitely works. You will need to be careful that you don't overload the weak power supply, though.
edit:
If you're planning on going "all-out", you probably won't want a slim case - I don't know of any high-end video cards that are narrow enough to fit in the slimmer cases.

I've seen these in person and they're very nice. Not sure on the pricing though.
edit: please note that one is socket 754 .. so its definitely not a good choice for upgrading.

in particular. fits standard atx mobo and full size cards. only 4 in thin too. very nice case.
hmm i dont see it...
only thing i just thought about is that i dont know if they have a pcie extender out yet so you may have to buy an agp card.
The Pundit-AE3 also looks nice.

... but soon after i realized that it has everything that a high end coolermaster case offers just for about 100 bucks more. ya it looks nice but it seems a bit overpriced.
Man. It seems like all the major corporations for cases are just following the main stream of either huge towers, or shuttles (boxes? those aren't practical). Isn't there like some mom and pop businesses that make cases? I bet one of them would have what I'm looking for.
