Password Protected ZIP Archive

I need access to a password protected ZIP file. I'm running Windows XP. It's a totally legit file I need to get into. It's an application called Electronic Workbench for my telecommunications class. I'm not sure whether the ZIP archive or the file itself is password protected. Do you guys know how I can get into this file?

edit:
My electronics professor sent out a copy of Electronic Workbench v5.12 to all his students. I had no idea he installed any sort of password protection. Anyway it's not in my nature to wait and ask if you know what I mean. And Leonardo is a rad moderator.

You could either ask the person who made the archive what the password is, or try and find a brute force hack that works with zip files.

Thanks, theSMj. Do you know of any such programs that are freeware?

And they are going to take a looooooooong time to crack that password.

I tried it once for a customer for a customer at work. If the password contains any speacial characters you will probably be unable to break it.
