i have directx problem please help me !

I have geforce 5200 + 128 ram , xp + spk2 ,some games do not run because
dont detect 3d grafic . I instal latest driver for grafic but still dont work .In win98 work good . what can be the problem ?

    Someone may know more right away, but I'd like to ask a couple of key quesitons:

    What game(s) are you trying to play?

    What version of DirectX do you have? Go to Start | Run and enter dxdiag and click OK.

    CPU, how much system memory, motherboard and power supply rating would be helpful too.

    You might be able to answer your questions if you can check your game manual with what dxdiag can tell you- Some games may require more than your system can deliver. XP (Pro or Home BTW) also requires more resource than 98- and this is what I suspect.
