I just googled your machines's model number and all i found on it was some memory upgrade links and you posting about this in another forum. I think you are just SOL on any bios upgrades and even if they do have one somewhere in existance, it still won't directly support a Tualatin P3 or Celeron. I think you would be better off buying a new motherboard and processor to upgrade the box at minimum. As old as that machine is, you would probably be better off either starting over from scratch and building a whole new machine or buying a new machine from an oem, if you don't feel like you can handle building one from parts. :)

Sorry I can't help you any more than that. :(

    well

i just opened my CPU and this is what i found on a chip close to the processor

    Phoenix 1996 MK42i

I think IBM doesnt want people to upgrade their PC (f*** IBM)
then other things that i found

    SMSC
    FDC37M707

well and over the Bios chip i found this:

    V66M
    Bios
    U26
    v. 3.2 RO5-M0

The O after the R im not sure if it is 0 or O.

i hope this help you find me the correct BIOS upgrade.

    Thanks
