Laggy sound on desktop.
Lol, I'm sorry to bother you all again for what seems to be a barrage of questions.
I'm having some trouble with my sound. When I'm just listening to music on Winamp (or Windows Media Player) it's OK. As soon as i put the PC under any load like loading Counter-strike or Photoshop the sound lads ... badly. This never happened until recently, I thought it may be on of the Windows updates that has messed it up but can't find any answers.
I'm using my onboard Realtek ALC 850 (drivers have been updated to no effect) and have a gig of Corsair DDR. I also have DX 9.0c.
I cannot think of any reason why it is doing this. I have even run a registry checker, spybot and anti-virus all of which have not sorted the problem out.
Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.
