The elusive new nVidia NV38 reference design

Have nVidia NOT learnt a lesson ;)

Now.. for all those who claim this is fake.. these photos were taken by an Italian journo at Computex (currently being held in Taipei this week).

The Radeon 9800 dual-VPU solution exists (named the Sapphire Atlantis 9800 Maxx), but is currently does not work. The 10 layer PCB required for the board to work would cost Sapphire (the design creator) mega-dollars to produce. Imagine the retail pricetag on that baby: $1,000 USD or higher... easily.

As for the new NV38, well I hope NVidia found a way to cool the new chip with the Flow FX WITHOUT the noisy fan. IMHO, there is nothing wrong with the 2 slot card design, as nobody uses the PCI slot directly adjacent to the AGP slot. As long as it doesn't whine like a leaf blower, the card should make retail headway. Performance? Now there's a whole other question...

That's brit slang for "beaten to death with a video card/hair dryer"

In america, we say "ganked" or "capped" but over there, they don't have nice guns to shoot eachother with, so they have to be a bit more creative.

I use the slots adjacent to the AGP on my board.
The 64bit slots on my dual board are located right next to the AGP.

I will not be buying any card that takes up an AGP slot and the adjacent PCI slot...

That's your problem since you bought a dual XEON setup!:D

    OKOK, I'll shutup since I just realized I myself own a Pee4 system:respect:
