    Does it look like this?

    AMD Thunderbird CPU.

The speed is the numbers between the "A"s written on the core directly beneath where it says AMD Athalon. For example, if it says A1400A like it does in the picture it is a 1400 MHz or 1.4GHz core. The last letter (B or C) will tell you the FSBwhere B means 100MHz, 200MHz effective and C means 133MHz, 266MHz effective.

The L1, L7 or any Lx number are not used to identify the CPU.

    Hope that helps.
