What frequency is your home phone and/or other wireless products running on?

I had the same problem, so we bought a new phone and it works fine. Since then i convinced my parents to switch to a wired network which is alot better. no more losing connections in hte middle of games for me ;D .

What about location? Are the router and/or NICs anywhere near power sources, microwaves, wireless headsets/game controllers? Are you in a heavy network traffic area for wireless networks? If you try searching for other wireless lans in your area, you may find more traffic as in my them broadcasting their SSIDs. You could also try changing the channels on your router, also move the router to a central point of the house. The walls and other electronic devices play big roles in communcation. Set you pre-amble to a shorter one and see if there is any difference. Also make sure that your XR mode is enabled. Dropping the speed tends to help some in wireless situations.
