"70% of the computers I repair through my business come to me because of Spyware. It is most certainly a big problem here in the UK. I personally blame the PC manufactures and retailers for not sufficiently educating the consumers on the threat of Spyware and by selling PC's with versions of Windows that aren't up-to-date with the latest service packs and security fixes. Ignorance is not bliss." - Spinner"People were worried about spam but spyware is now the bigger danger," said Dr Nick Palmer MP, who sponsored the meeting at Westminster.
"Previous ways of computer harassment, from viruses to spam, have been countered too slowly causing endless trouble for ordinary computer users.
"This time we need to stay ahead of the curve."

Personally I think phishing is a lot more dangerous. You cant make software that stops people from being gullible.
I must clean 3 or 4 computers a week, it keeps me in new parts for my Mustang and helps me build new systems every year!
Most people I've encountered have been told on numerous occasions how to keep their systems safe and clean, but are too apathetic to do anything! :shakehead
So I say keep 'em stupid, and make 'em open their wallets!
