PLEASE HELP: steam trouble

ok, when i type in my password, it says login failed, and i dont know what to do. it has done this before but it usually starts working after awhile, but now its been going on for about 2 months. any help would be appreciated, thank you.

    try to Forgot Password thing - maybe you're typing in the wrong password?

    you're positive? right username, capitals? obviously your internet connection works (assuming same computer you're on now).

    ok, lmfao. your goina call me an idiot but my brother is using his friends account too, cuz they both bought it, so its on my bros friends. hahaha but the reason i think he hasnt changed the password is because it has happened to me before and becasue it happened to my friend. lol

    ok. i obviously got f**ked over because i made another account and it works fine, to bad HL2/CSS/DODS and EVERYTHING else is stuck on the other one, i need some help in figuring out how i can transfer HL2 to my new account. and i have tried uninstalling it then reinstalling it onto my account but it says that the CD key is already in use. any help? thanks.

    pretty sure you can't move the games over to a different account. you can only use it on one.

    You can move your games to a different account but it requires being logged in as the owning account, unregistering the CD key of the game you want to sell/transfer, and loading that CD key in your new account. You really ought to call Valve to see what the problem is with your account, if it's locked then they probably have a reason for it.

    I messed my steam account up once (got it sorted eventually), it was a nightmare. I couldn't remember my 'secret question' so emailed steam for help. They said they could help if I answered my secret question! I can understand they want to protect their game but the system they use is crap, so much so that I will have to think twich before buying anything else 'steam'. If I buy a game I want to play it not wait three weeks until steam say I can. They had my CD key and email address, surly that's all they need.
