File Issues, Non responsive programs

There are a few folders on my computer that give me continuous problems by shutting down when selecting an item.

One of them is a folders with .jpeg files in it, the other has files I use for work in a program called formflow.
This is what I just got with trying to select a photo to open

I was also running "Record Now" program and trying to add pictures to burn to a CD and got this message

    Have you run chkdsk to see if there are any problems with the file structure of the drive? :)
