I am thinking of buyng a sli motherboard which is around $200 australian but do not know which one. Im tossing up between Asus AN8-SLI, Abit AN8-SLI and the DFI LANPARTY UT NF4 SLI-DR Expert. I will be using for gaming but not much overclocking as such, and price is important.

Does anybody have some thoughts?

DFI Mobo

Asus Mobo

Abit Mobo

I just bought the Abit AN8-SLI Fatal1ty MB... I'm still installing winderz XP but when I am done, Ill tell you how much I love it :D

But it may be 1% bias IMHO due to the $250 price I paid for buying it at a local store :shakehead

    Go for the DFI

If you have trouble getting it get the asus.

If you aren't an avid overclocker, I would go with the Asus SLI board myself. Since Asus just came out with the new P5N32 SLI board which can run both SLI slots at 16x PCI-e speeds, the A8N SLI has gotten pretty reasonable in price here in the US. I don't know how it is over there in Oz though. The Asus A8N SLI has proven to be a solid board since it's come out, from all I've read.

BTW, DragonV8 here at the forums also lives around Perth, so he might be able to help you out on finding good prices for your decision.

    If you're an Overclocker...
    1) DFI
    2) Abit
    3) EPoX
    4) Asus
    5) MSI

If you just run stock (or just OC a little...)

    1) EPoX
    2) Asus
    3) Abit
    4) DFI
    5) MSI

You really can go wrong with any of the first 4 choices. MSI run well but can need a little coaxing

Has anyone seen one of these Jetway GT4 mobos running?
It has nice reviews, but let's just say that I am leary of it.

There are mobo appearing now with better sound, either onboard SB or a small daughter card with a dedicated sound chip. This would be what I was looking for, but this might mean using an ATI chipset.
