Which Services does System Restore need?

Got flamed on another forum for using Blackviper's guide, but I did it as a lot of the services do seem unneeded. I'm not sure that is the problem, but when I try to turn on System Restore, it says it can't run and to reboot (which doesn't help). I only went with the "Safe" mode of BV's guide, but not sure which might affect Restore (or is there some other setting not related to Services I might be missing)?

    The service is called "System Restore Service" (:crazy: )

    I'm sure I have that one turned on, it's too obvious! I went down the list one-by-one (at least the ones that changed from XP default) and didn't see anything else obvious. I tried a couple that seemed close, but still the same error message. There's too many permutations to try them all.

    I guess I'll reset all back to default and see if restore works.

    Double checked and my restore service is set to "Auto", but it's not started.
