I have continuously had problems with WinFixer popping up and taking control of my computer when I am using internet explorer. I have Spyware Detector and Microsoft Spyware but the problem cannot be fixed. Everytime I run microsoft it finds the virtumondo.C adware but it does not remove it even though it says it is removed. I work off this computer and I am at a loss as to how to fix this. I have seen references to hijackthis and log files but I do not know what this is or what I am looking for. I am fairly computer literate so I am certain if someone can tell me what to do I can fix this problem.

Help.

    Please post your hijackthis log as it is needed to help with the fix.

    Download HijackThis self-extracting zip version from here. Once downloaded, double click on the file & it will install into it's own, permanent folder.
    Start HJT & press the "Do a system scan and save a log file" button. When the scan is finished a window will pop up giving you the option of where to save it. Save it to desktop where it is easy to access. Open the log file and copy the entire contents of the file & paste it into the body of your post. DO NOT FIX ANYTHING YET. Most of what is there is necessary for the running of your system.
