Muddockter was kind enough to send some extra parts of his to upgrade IC_11! The idea is that with the watercooled setup, we could get a better overclock by replacing the aging Palomino-core Athlon.
This is a final pic of where she folds, next to the window (the better to cool her with), and under the plant.
I'd like to seriously thank Muddockter for the donation of new parts for IC_11! The old parts will be sent back to Prof to distribute to new SMx rigs.
I had the processor clocked at 13x180, but the WU experienced instability and terminated early. Since then, I've switched it to run only Tinkers, so I may be able to get away with a higher overclock. It's currently at 13x170, until I'm comfortable with it's current stability and nudge it a bit further.
But what a difference a processor makes! It was folding a gromacs core WU before the switch, and check out the difference in frame times:
At 12x140 = 1680mhz
[21:48:15] Completed 305000 out of 500000 steps (61)
[23:35:48] Writing local files
[23:35:48] Completed 310000 out of 500000 steps (62)
At 13x166 = 2158 (this is before I nudged it to 180 and it crashed the WU)
[06:39:14] Completed 320000 out of 500000 steps (64)
[07:03:50] Writing local files
[07:03:50] Completed 325000 out of 500000 steps (65)
Oh yeah. You betcha. IC_11 is going to show up on some people's threat radar
Hey Garg, glad to see you got her up and running. I'm not sure if there is something wrong with that vid card I sent you, but since it's an old original Radeon LE that has been flashed to the original Radeon DDR bios, it's possible that it doesn't like the newer Catylist drivers so you might try some older pre-Cat drivers and see. Of course, since you have the pci vid card it's not needed and you can send it on to prof with the other stuff. Also, what temps is that proc running at? I used to use MBM to monitor that rig and my folding temps usually ran 45-50 C with high end air cooling. If you are going to keep her at it's present speed for now, you should be able to back down the vcore a bit I think too.
Prof, I also have a 14.4 GB IBM hard drive and 2 X 256 MB or Registered ECC PC2100 DDR I'm going to send your way too. The DDR can be used with that KG7 board, which is what I originally bought it for anyways a long time ago. If you can get the vid card working right, you will have the basis for another SMx rig with what Gargoyle sends back to you and what I will be sending to you.

Whoo-Hoo!
Thirty rigs and soon to be more.
BTW: I just got a nice box of stuff from Donut. Though I haven't had a chance to go through everything yet it's obvious from what I've seen so far that we are going to be rolling out the rigs for some time to come.
QCH made a great donation, too. Look for more info as soon as I can get things sorted out.

Right now the temps vary pretty wildly, depending on the temperature of the outside air coming through the window. In the last 24 hours, the lowest temp was 33*C, and the highest was 45*C. Currenlty, it's 38*C, with the intake air being roughly 18*C, according to the Hardcano. I'll probably try increasing the OC in a couple days, but I'll see if I can back off the voltage a bit until then
Think this low 5 volt line is holding back the overclock a little? Take a look at this excerpt of the MBM log. Most of my Antec PSUs have done this - start out strong, but get weaker in their old age.

Have you actually checked the 5v line coming out of the psu with a meter, Garg? If not, then check both the +5v lines going into the ATX connector and also check it on the molex connectors. If it's showing significantly closer to spec on the back side of the ATX connector, you might want to check the contacts inside the ATX plug for corrosion or damage of some sort.

Abit KG-7 Raid
Athlon XP AGOIA Palomino Core
128mb generic pc2100
ASUS A7N8X Deluxe v1.04
Athlon XP Barton Core (3000+? Forgot to check )
256mb Patriot pc3200
(he also sent that AGP Radeon with that awesome orb cooler on it, but I was having some stability issues with it, and swapped it out for a PCI Radeon)
