ok so far it's found TROJ CRYPT.N
tried to delete it and it said it couldn't cuz ddabx.dll is in use
and norton finds the VUNDO.B and i downloaded the tool and when used in
safemode it can't find it, tried in regular mode as well and it can't find it yet
when i run the scan it finds it......

You must have done it right. Suspect files are not showing
          ===

Please move HJT from your Desktop to its own folder on your C: so backups can be created. Do this before continuing.
          ===

          Run HiJackThis then:

          1. Click "Open the Misc Tools Section"
          2. Click "Open Process manager"

          -

Next, while holding down the CTRL key, locate (if present) and click on (highlight) each of the following:

          C:\Program Files\Mfsd\Qpkitu.exe
          C:\WINDOWS\system32\gah95on6.exe

Now double-check and make sure that only those item(s) above are highlighted, then click "Kill process". Now, click "Refresh", check again, and repeat this step if any remain.
          ===

Check the following in HJT and click 'Fix Checked'

          O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Uuiac] C:\Program Files\Mfsd\Qpkitu.exe
          O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [gah95on6] C:\WINDOWS\system32\gah95on6.exe

View hidden files and folders - explained here
          ===

          Find and Delete:

          C:\Program Files\Mfsd << this folder
          C:\WINDOWS\system32\gah95on6.exe << this file

          Download Ewido Security Suite
          1. Install ewido security suite
          2. When installing the program, under "Additonal Options" uncheck..
            • Install background guard
            • Install scan via context menu
          3. Launch ewido, there should now be an icon on your desktop, double-click it.
          4. The program will now open to the main screen.
          5. When you run ewido for the first time, you will get a warning "Database could not be found!". Click OK. We will fix this in a moment.
          6. You will need to update ewido to the latest definition files:
            • On the left hand side of the main screen click update.
            • Then click on Start Update.
          7. The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
(the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful")

If you are having problems with the updater, you can use this link to manually update ewido.
          Ewido Manual Updates

Once the updates are installed, do the following:
          1. Click on scanner.
          2. Click on Complete System Scan, the scan will now begin.
          3. While the scan is in progress you will be promted to clean files, click OK.
          4. When it asks if you want to clean the first file, put a checkmark in the lower left corner of the box that says "Perform action on all infections", then choose clean and click OK.
          5. Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located at the bottom of the screen named Save Report.
          6. Click Save Report.
          7. Now save the report .txt file to your desktop.

          Now close ewido security suite.
          ===

Reboot and post a new HJT log :)

          okie dokie.....
wow you guys sure do have patience and must be passionate about this! i admire you!
p.s. Man U does rule, my mum is from there! she moved to canada and got married and had my brother and I and now i'm in alaska! i watched a game when i was there at christmastime in 1993! it was quite the experience!

          ok back to business lol
FYI it didn't prompt me for this
When you run ewido for the first time, you will get a warning "Database could not be found!". Click OK. We will fix this in a moment.
          but i just continued...
          ok
it says to be sure to do the ewido once a week, i do adaware once a week and norton once a week, should i step it up a bit?
and what about panda and bitdefender? those ones as well for a total of 5 different scanning programs a week?
P.S. still scanning in ewido, after it's done with hijack log as well

          Cool...Man You Rule :D
          ===

          On to business

You can run Ewido whenever you feel it is neccessary. If you can fit it in once week then thats fine.

There is really no need to do a Panda or BitDefender scan once week. They will take too much time and you already have Norton (which is up-to-date, right?). :)

I'l give you a set of instructions to follow, once your computer is clean :)

          Sorry, missed one

          Remove this with HJT:

          O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{A9974F18-46AC-4F23-AA6F-4819D0DE147A}: NameServer = 12.6.42.1 12.6.42.2

Your log is clean now

Please consider joining the Folding@Home Project :)
Join our Folding@Home team! Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, cancer... we're trying to cure them with our computers! You've at least read a little about it in the greeting I sent you when you signed up for the site. We're always really pleased to greet new members to the team, and it's a quick way to become an appreciated member of the community.
          MORE INFO: READ THIS

Follow this guide by Crunchie to stay more secure

Now that your PC is clean you need to follow these easy steps to keeping it this way:

Secure your Internet Explorer by going here and following the instructions there.

Better yet, use an alternative browser! Download FireFox and give it a run. It is far more secure than Internet Explorer. Or, you can get Opera which in my opinion, is better still.

Use a firewall to help prevent your PC's control being usurped by undesireables.

Install and keep updated, Ad-Aware SE, and Spybot S&D.
Run them both on a regular basis, following the manufacturer's recommendations.

Install and keep updated, SpywareBlaster 3.4

Install an anti-virus. There are some good, free AV's available today. Make sure that it is updated regularly and have it scan your system often.

Check for Windows Updates. Microsoft regularly post updates for your systems safe running. Make sure to take advantage of this. Reboot when installed and return to make sure there are no others.

          Clear your Temp folders.
Clear out your Temporary internet files and other temp files.
Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel >Internet Options.

Under the General tab click the Delete temporary internet files,
delete all Offline content as well. Clear out Cookies.

Also, go to Start > Find/search > Files or folders > in the named box, type: *.tmp and choose Edit > select all -> File > delete.

Empty/delete the entire contents of the C:\Windows\temp folder and C:\temp folder, if you have one. (Contents but not the folder itself.)

          C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp\

In order to view these files you may have to select 'show hidden files/folders.' Instructions on how to here.

          Empty the Recycle Bin.

          For XP users.
After something like this it is a good idea to Flush the Restore Points and start fresh.
To flush the XP system Restore Points.

Go to Start>Run and type msconfig. Press enter.

When msconfig opens, click the Launch System Restore Button.
On the next page, click the System Restore Settings link on the left.

Check the box labelled 'Turn off System restore'.

Reboot. Go back in and Turn System Restore Back on. A new Restore Point will be created.

Note that all previous restore points will be lost.

          ===============

If you have any more problems, post back.

Your log looks clean to me.

          Try this:

You may want to print out these instructions for reference, since you will have to restart your computer during the fix.

          Please download AproposFix from here:
          http://swandog46.geekstogo.com/aproposfix.exe

Save it to your desktop but do NOT run it yet.

Then please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
          1) Restart your computer
          2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
          3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
          4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

Once in Safe Mode, please double-click aproposfix.exe and unzip it to the desktop. Open the aproposfix folder on your desktop and run RunThis.bat. Follow the prompts.

When the tool is finished, please reboot back into normal mode, and post a new HijackThis log, along with the entire contents of the log.txt file in the aproposfix folder.

well, surprise it didn't shut off this time!!! and it did a full scan and recorded it
it found 2 spywares that it can't delete

          Source: C:\Documents and Settings\Charlie\My Documents\Medieval\fpupdate.exe
Description: The file C:\Documents and Settings\Charlie\My Documents\Medieval\fpupdate.exe is a Adware threat.
          Click for more
          Source: C:\Documents and Settings\Charlie\My Documents\Medieval\Aphex.exe
Description: The file C:\Documents and Settings\Charlie\My Documents\Medieval\Aphex.exe is a Adware threat.
Click for more information about this threat : Adware.GameSpyArcade information about this threat : Adware.GameSpyArcade

when i click for the instructions for removal it just basically tells me
Your Symantec product detects a file as Packed.Adware.
Submit samples detected as Packed.Adware to Symantec Security Response so that these packed adware and variants can be identified and assigned specific names.
Then, we can analyze them and provide more information about their nature......

Don't worry too much...you can maunally delete those files that Norton found.

Before you do anything, tell me how your computer is at the moment?

lol...its only 7:30pm here - no bed time yet :)

I'm glad your computer is running normally again.

Just to make sure it is clean, run these scans please.

          BitDefender Free Online Virus Scan
          http://www.bitdefender.com/scan/licence.php
Make sure you tick AutoClean under Scan Options.

          Panda ActiveScan
          http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/com/activescan_principal.htm
Make sure you tick Disinfect automatically under Scan Options.

Let me know how things go :)
