Popups

Well, first off I want to thank everyone on here who gives help to those of us not in the know. I had multiple viruses including a very nasty pokapoka79 that I seem to have rid my system of. Now however I have a lot A LOT of popups every time I am online. I attempted to download a new version of windows but I apparently have the most up to date. I have run spybot and adaware and deleted everything they recommended. Can anyone give me some guidance on what I should do to get rid of these popups?
