More Doom III Screenshots

4000x3000 pixels good enough for ya?

IGN managed to get a couple of extremely high-resolution screenshots of the upcoming mega-hit, Doom III.

Each screenshot was taken on an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro at a resolution of.... 4000x3000. We have no idea how it was done, but that high of a resolution really allows you to see the quality of the 3d models in the game.

I've scaled the screenshots back to 1024x768 to be a little easier on the bandwidth and screen space. Each image has a link to the original, high-resolution screenshot.

You don't need a monitor to take screenshots. It's entirely possible that they loaded a pre-scripted scene into one of their modelling/animation programs, and rendered the output using their game engine with the specified resolution.

My only issue with the game is that in order to have that graphics you must have an amazing system. Another thing I noticed was the spiders nose, anyone else think of the pain that spider must endure during rainfall?
