Cleaning up the whole works
Hey guys,
I first want to start out by thanking you guys. I had a virus not too long ago on my computer and the insturctions you guys gave me worked great. Now I am on my mom's computer and trying to clean it up for her. The probelem is that she downloads music and doesn't mantain the pc at all so it is completely infested. It's terrible. She has this Mcaffee program that is provided through our ISP, but I have a feeling it sucks. It acts like spyware, running in the background and I don't like it. I am going to remove it as soon as I install another one at your guys' suggestion. So I ran adaware and spybot and not much came up. But there is something serious on here. I am working off of Mozilla browser right now, but you cannot even open a IE window without 10 other pop-ups. I know it is Thanksgiving and everything, but I am leaving in a few days and I cannot leave this up to my mom to finish. THe following is the HJT log. Have a great Thanksgiving tomorrow!

Please download AproposFix from here:
http://swandog46.geekstogo.com/aproposfix.exe
Save it to your desktop but do NOT run it yet.
Then please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.
Once in Safe Mode, please double-click aproposfix.exe and unzip it to the desktop. Open the aproposfix folder on your desktop and run RunThis.bat. Follow the prompts.
When the tool is finished, please reboot back into normal mode, and post a new HijackThis log, along with the entire contents of the log.txt file in the aproposfix folder.

Now, close all instances of Internet Explorer and any other windows you have open except HiJackThis, click "Fix checked".

If it is, then fix that entry again; sometimes it'll take more than one pass. The actual entry is ok, and won't be deleted, it's the java wrapper marked in red that needs to be removed.

Download the Pocket KillBox
Unzip the file to your desktop.
Run Pocket Killbox and paste the full file path of the below file in the box and click on Standard File Kill and End Explorer Shell While Killing File. Click on the button with the red circle and an X in the middle after you the file.

Reboot afterwards if the file is successfully deleted.
If the file is not deleted, do not reboot yet. Run Pocket Killbox again and paste the full file path in the box and click on Delete on Reboot. Next click on the button with the red circle and an X in the middle. You will get a message saying "File with be deleted on next reboot, Process and Reboot now?" Click "Yes" to reboot.
Post another log after the reboot.
