Asus Enters The ATI Graphics Card Market

9800XT's with an Asus OTES cooler? Impressive...

Set all rumours aside. ATI and Asus have teamed up to provide consumers with yet another choice when purchasing an ATI-based graphics adapter.

In the next few weeks, Asus will be launching their new ATI-based graphics adapters. While this may not sound important, it's the fact that Asus has bundled some impressive software and features with their cards that makes these new cards "stand out" against the competition:

Asus GameFace: A real time audio/video communication feature enhances the interactive gaming experience by enabling short point -to- point video conferencing functions and online gaming to take place simultaneously. You also can open up a window for TV viewing while you are still battling online.

Asus Smart Cooling: Smart Cooling technology automatically lowers fan speed when GPU temperature decreased due to a lighter system load, ensuring a quiet computing environment.

Asus SmartDoctor II: Provides the greatest operating safety for your valuable system with SmartCooling technology, Dynamic Overclocking, Over-Heat Protection, Fan RPM Monitoring and AGP Power Level Monitoring.

Asus Digital VCR II: Capture your favourite video with MPEG II, MPEG I, AVI compression.

Asus Video Security II: Asus VideoSecurity is powerful software for users to flexibly build their own security systems.

Asus plans on releasing the following lineup of products:

-> Asus Radeon 9800XT
-> Asus Radeon 9600XT
-> Asus Radeon 9600SE
-> Asus Radeon 9200SE

Expect to see all products in the retail channel in time for the christmas holiday shopping season.
