Odd connection issues

My internet connection, between 5pm and 5am is virtually unusable. It drops anywhere from every 2 minutes to every 30 minutes. Although it reconnects instantly, it still makes doing anything rather irritating and makes online gaming or large file downloading almost impossible.

I've attached a log from my router to show exactly when it disconnects and reconnects. What happens specifically is that the router in the daytime will connect to the internet at say 4600Kbs with an SNR of 4. Then come 5pm the SNR will drop and it will lose the connection and reconnect slightly slower (say 10-100Kbs lower) and it will keep doing this all night till 5am where the line will be totally fine again and able to connect at 4600 without issue.

Can anyone explain this at all? I mean the phone line itself has died entirely multiple times (no dialtone for about 2 mins, but strangely the internet DOESN'T drop). So I ring up the phone company, they say they will run a Line test and Broadband test, 20 seconds later tell me it's fine. What takes the piss is that a minute or so after running the so called "line test" I was still talking to the "support person" and the LINE DIED. Arg.

So, anyone have any ideas? I know it's not my router because I tried with a Modem via my server and it did exactly the same thing.

Are you using a seperate router apart from the DSL modem?
Some DSL modems have built in routers, this is why I ask.

check and see that you did not set your router to deny access to the net @ these times through the DSL router and/or your router settings..
