http://safety.live.com/ is the home of Microsoft's BETA Live Security Center. It offers free viral scan and other things and even will tell you how much junk of temporary Internet files you have hanging about and also find some temp files.
Be aware that it downloads some ActiveX to do this on your machine and like IE. They don't say what info the scan might report openly on the page. The scanner does work on XP SP2 here.
