Problem with MSN.com and majorgeeks.com

I have installed Spaware blaster, but I get two types of spywares, 2o7 and tribalfusion when I visit msn.com and majorgeeks.com. (Ewido found the tracking cookies). I could actually see my web browser (firefox)was transfering data from 2o7 and tribalfusion, at bottom bar of the browser when I visited those websites. Should I recognize these websites as malicious websites? I recently visited only yahoo, msn, majorgeeks, and this short-media forum.

I would reallly appreciate if anyone would answer my question.

These are only tracking cookies. They are files <.5KB in size that are nearly harmless. The most they can do really is get your IP address and any info that you submit onto a website that uses these tracking cookies. Installing SpywareShooter should stop these from being downloaded, but a better fix would be to block these servers using your HOSTS file, which will block access to these websites completely, meaning less popups and banner ads, as well as no tracking cookies.

If you're on WinXP go to this folder: C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc\ and open the file "HOSTS" with notepad. Add lines like this to it:

    127.0.0.1 a.tribalfusion.com

127.0.0.1 is a computer's way of saying "this machine". So in the case above, 127.0.0.1 tells the computer that this website is located on your own computer. Since it is not, it searches for the file, but does not find it, resulting in the popup/banner to not be displayed, or the cookie to not be downloaded. a.tribalfusion.com is an example of a tracking cookie website. Note that wildcards do not work in the HOSTS file, so you have to block each host individually, which could get annoying. Make sure when adding entries to enter 127.0.0.1 (website), and include the space and the full web address up to the end of the .com or which ever TLD (top level domain) it uses.

Thank you for your great response!
Ewido detects nothing since I added those tracking cookies in the Host notepad.
I deeply appreciate for your support in this matter.

    Thank you!!!!!!!
