Extreme restarts

edited December 2005 in Hardware
a computer here at the office that I use that has dual intregrated video cards just a bare bone from the internet. I am getting major restarts all of the time and windows comes back and tells me that I have recovered from a major crash.

It tells me i have a bad driver so i went to the website downloaded all of the most current correct drivers and I am still getting them. One thing i noticed was on the website it says the motherboard supports 2100 2700 ram, I have 3200 but my system seems to read the ram just fine could the ram be the problem or is it a driver?

PC3200 should be totally backwards compatible, and should have no issues running at PC2700 or PC2100 speeds.

I would not rule out a hardware issue at this point. If it is a cheap bare-bone system, it could very well be a dying power supply, or a mainboard on its way out. Wouldn't hurt to clean the dust bunnies out as well, and look for clogged fans etc..
