I got a toshiba on black friday from circuit city. Its a toshiba L25-S1139 and has a celeron m370 1.5GHz with a dothan core. I was think of swapping the cpu to a pentium m 735 1.7GHz from newegg ($214) Is it worth it or should i just leave it alone.

If it's not soldered to the board and you can in fact change it then go for it, the added mhz won't make much difference but the extra cache will sure bump it up.

yes, the speed will make a difference.

Get more ram, get a 7200rpm hdd, I have a laptop with 2.8p4, My company put a 40gig 7200rpm hdd and 1 gig ram, now my laptop is as fast as my home athlon 2500+
