Is my Toshiba M55-S139 capable of VHS to DVD?

I have a Toshiba Satellite Notebook M55-S139 (like the one in the link below)

Does this laptop have the capability out of the box to copy my old VHS tapes to DVD's? What cables would I need? I know I need some software, but I don't know if I need any additional hardware.

    I have yet to see a laptop with a video capture mini-card in it-- that is what is needed, or possibly a Dazzle video conversion box and Dazzle software.

    So I do need some sort of "black box" between the VCR and the Laptop.

    Yes. Dazzle is a brand name.
