Can't boot new 320GB Drive

edited December 2005 in Hardware
I plugged in my new 320GB Western Digital drive and when it boots up I hear 2 clicks and it stops for a second and then I hear two more clicks and it keeps doing this.

It's brand new though.

Please let me know why it is doing this.

I even tried having it as the only drive installed but I still get the same problem.

Run the WD Data LifeGuard tool on the drive.

Is it detected properly by the BIOS?

If WD Data LifeGuard fails, return it!

It does sound alot to me like a DOA drive. I've had one recently that went south literally seconds after I installed it :(
