Please help with an apparent worm virus

Please help! I was on MSN messenger and a dialogue box popped up. In it, it said something along the following:
"Is this you?" - Followed by a link to a messenger website including my email address. I can't believe that I was so naive and clicked on it, but it sounded like something he would say, plus I was curious as to how my email address was in the link.

As soon as I clicked on it, almost instantly, other people on my contact list started messenging me asking me what it was I was sending them(it was the same dialogue box I had received because my roommate opened it as well). I immediately signed off and then was able to figure out the following:

-Not only did it disable the anti-virus software (AVG), when ever I try to open it, it will shut itself down.
-It did the same to the Zone Alarm firewall, but after running Ad-Aware, it seems to be somewhat functional
-I cannot access my system start-up menu. When I try to run "msconfig" it will flash that box for an instant, then it disappears
-The only online virus scan that will work is "bitdefender". Whenever I try to go to the others, I get a "cannot find" page

I ran Ad-Aware and Spybot. Spybot said it found nothing, Ad-Aware said it found four cookies and then deleted them. Bitdefender found 3 infected files and deleted them. However the problem still persists. Up until I ran Ad-Aware, restarting the computer meant my homepage would return to "messengersite.net/forums". I had never been there before. I tried to run Hijack, but everytime I try to download it, the webpage just closes itself.

Just recently, the MSN Messenger Icon began to reappear after startup (the anti virus/AVG icon and Zone Alarm firewall still won't) but for some reason, it only appears maybe 10 minutes after rebooting. Until it appears though, I have no access to internet explorer.

Please help. I'm not sure what to do. The virus is obviously still there because I cannot run my anti-virus software, access my startup or apparently go to any anti-virus sites. I hope I explained the problem effectively and that I didn't leave anything out. Thank you.
