7800GTX Help

edited December 2005 in Science & Tech
Not sure if this is the right forum for this or not. I have a Aopen 7800GTX. I recently upgraded my drivers to the latest version from Nvidia's website. However the performance wasn't the same and I experienced slowdown and screen flashes where I didn't with the Aopen drivers. So I've tried to go back to the older drivers. I've used driver cleaner and taken the newer drivers off. The problem I'm having now is that the older drivers won't install...they act like they do but when I restart the computer I'm left with a 7800GTX with no drivers. It gets detected as a human interface device or something like that. Is there something not getting deleted that should be? Could coobits be affecting it? Any help would be appreciated. TIA

    Okay lets try this....

UNistall any plugins and Nvidia program you have o0n your machince. I don;t knwo what version of drivers your AOpen came with but lets try this.

After unistalling everything shut the tower down. I always like to reseat the graphics card just tro make sure everything is good on that end. no reboot comp and install these drivers.
