SATA Hard Drive / Windows XP Install Issue

edited December 2005 in Science & Tech
Hello everyone, I am about to tear my hair out. I have been working for days with this new computer that I just built. I am trying to install windows xp sp2 on a new SATA Western Digital 250GB hard drive. Windows will not recognize my hard drive during installation. I have tried going on gigabytes website for the drivers, but everytime I try to use them I get a "file is corrupted message". I guess all of their drivers on their site are corrupted. Maybe someone knows where I can find some non-corrupted drivers for this hard drive. Does anyone have a way to get around this issue. Thanks for your help.

I have a Gigabyte GA-K8N-SLI Motherboard

Thanks,

Mike

Thanks for your response. I looked over that, but I have already tried disabling the raid drivers. Although when I do that, I get stuck at the "Verifying DMI Pool". I cant even attempt to install windows with the raid disabled. Thanks again.

See if the attached driver works. (driver_sata_nf4_boot disk_2k.exe)

I got them at this page.
