For sale, remote mount Fan Brackets

edited December 2005 in Trading Post
The other day I was in need of a fan bracket to mount an 80mm fan over my ram slots to cool my VX UTT ram along with my DDR booster on my new Asrock mobo that I put my X2 4400 into, so I could run around 3.4-3.5 volts vdimm. I looked around the house and noticed some flat aluminum strips on an old tv antenna I was getting ready to throw away and thought those would make a decent fan mount out of. It came out so good, I salvaged the rest of those pieces of aluminum off the old tv antenna and decided to mod all the good ones into fan mounts.

As you can see in the pics I'm posting, they are drilled to mount 80mm fans on them. I've made 2 working prototypes; one is a straight mount that can be custom bent to fit your needs and the other one is an offset mount to place the fan inside of the case a bit. To make the offset mount, I just put the mount in a vise and used a hammer to make the bends; that aluminum is very bendable without cracking.

These mounts aren't finished in the quality of one of the Zalman fan mounts, since they are made of salvaged material but they are also cheaper and they are pretty sturdy. I also looked around at a few online vendors and didn't see any fan mounts being sold, so I figured someone else besides me could probably use a fan mount to blow air across their memory or some other dead spot in their case (like also around the vid cards of a SLI setup perhaps.

I'm asking $6.00 shipped to the US and I'll probably mail them in a bubble wrap envelope by first class mail if possible.
