ASP.net ??

My computer runs on Microsoft XP. There is a new "hidden" (does not show up on the welcome screen) account called "ASP.net Machine A..." that I did not put there. Is this something I should be concerned about? I did not want to delete it before finding out what it was exactly. The Account manager says that it is a limited account, and password protected. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Thanks for any input.

    Hi,

    The ASP.NET account is a microsoft specific account. When you install the Microsoft .NET framework, this account is created automatically as part of the install. It is the account that any ASP.NET (IIS web service) would run .NET code under if you have IIS enabled on your machine. IIS is a web server that can be run on Windows XP :)

    Is it anything to worry about..? Not at all. It's completely safe to leave it where it is, it won't do any harm at all :)
