Problems with recording in Realtek ALC AC97

edited December 2005 in Hardware
When I try and record, for some reason this program doesnt pick up my microphone. When I went into the actuall sound manager window, it said that it detected a mike, so I thought I had a broken one. I went to the store and bought a new one, but still the same problem. I installed the newest driver, and STILL the same problem. When I try and record (hitting "start" in the window) It says I need to shut off any other sound programs before doing this. I have no other sound programs!! This is really starting to bug me, because if I cant record Im in trouble. Any ideas??

:bawling: thank you :bawling:

Make sure the record settings are turned up as well as it not being muted as there are seperate controls for playback and recording.
