Is there anyway to get the hd activity light to work with sata 2 drives?

if the LED is connected stright to the mother board, adn teh 2 sata drives are connected straight to the motherboard ( i e not on a raid card or other controler card ) then it should function properly, any activity from/on either drive should activate the LED. my raid even makes my LED flash.

Don't forget LED's have polarity. try flopping the connector on the mobo.

If you never took it off , and it worked before then disregard. But if you did have it off, try it the other way.

    Just a thought

on the mother board schematics it'll say that 1 end is a + and 1 end is a -, on the front LED plug it should have 1 colored wire, orange, or red, i think ts red, and 1 white wire.

the white wire is always the - in the schematics. and the colored wire is always the +, stoopid little tricks the manual dosnt teach you.
